Does this product work for hydrogen sulfide (H2S) SIBO?Updated an hour ago
While hydrogen sulfide gas production was not directly measured in the breath testing during our 2023 Clinical Trial, levels of specific bacteria responsible for hydrogen sulfide were measured in stool samples. Fusobacterium, a known producer of intraluminal hydrogen sulfide, decreased in relative abundance after 2 weeks on the elemental diet (Log2FC= -2.26). The drop in Fusobacterium indicates that the mBIOTA Elemental diet can reduce the overgrowth of hydrogen sulfide producing bacteria.
