The patients in our clinical trial consumed the diet for 14 days, which is generally the standard recommendation for SIBO. Breath tests were conducted before beginning the diet, and at day 14. While patients did report symptom improvements at their day 7 visit - in order to be fully effective for SIBO it should be used for 14 days (or at the direction of your health care provider).
