There are a few key contraindications to be aware of when considering mBIOTA Elemental for your patients.Age mBIOTA Elemental is not intended for use in children under the age of 12.Pregnancy &amp; Nursing mBIOTA Elemental is not intended for use during pregnancy or while nursing.Blood Sugar &amp; Metabolic Conditions By their nature, all elemental diets are carbohydrate dominant. For this reason, we advise caution when considering this diet for patients with&#xA0;Diabetes, Pre-diabetes, or any history of unstable blood sugar regulation. The absorption profile of elemental diets means blood sugar impact can be more pronounced than with standard diets, and we&apos;d recommend that any patient with a glucose management concern be evaluated carefully before starting.&#xA0;

mBIOTA Elemental is not recommended for patients under the age of 12, patients who are pregnant or nursing, or patients with blood sugar conditions—including diabetes, pre-diabetes, or any history of unstable blood sugar regulation.
